"A child left to himself..."

Of course I shoulda known that the day after posting a sweet post about how much I love my life with my two little boys they would pull a stunt like this!

I had left the boys in the "office" to watch Handy Manny. I sat on the couch and leaned my head on a pillow. Not two minutes later I hear a wierd "swish swish" in the office. I figure its just the plastic box they are sliding on the the floor (normal) and rest my head back on the pillow. About three minutes after that Jorge comes to me and says "mommy, I dirty." I look on his shirt and notice something all over it.. its brown, but not poo. It looks kinda like coffee grinds. "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" I say as I jump of the couch and step into the office and notice the following (coffee all over the floor! thank you dear husband for leaving your bag of Starbucks coffee on the counter this morning, within reach of the toddlers):

Notice the starbucks bag on the floor!

Look of Guilt!

Okay.. so do girls do this kind of stuff??

I am laughing out loud!
The pictures of guilt are hilarious!!!

And GIRLS do things that are more staining like finger nail polish all over new bed spreads!

Did I ever tell you that my boy ate dog poo and also drank out of the toilet...both things giving him parasites.?!

Enjoy these days. I wish I had a blog when mine where in the mischief phase to document these fun events.

niiiice. . . did they eat enough grounds to get them hyper?
And I'm with Missy - girls do more messy things. Ali colored herself, her clothes, and her car seat with Mascara in the matter of about 2 minutes.

Marli (Jason and Michelle's youngest) was the craziest little thing ever. At different times, Michelle would go to get her from her nap and find her coated with vaseline, another time with markers, and another time with glitter (I think). I was pregnant with Corin when she was doing this stuff and I was terrified. Silas' weird thing was that he would eat weird stuff, like cake deodorant. We had poisin control on speed dial. I think the woman laughed the last time we called about him (after we found out he was okay, of course).

Yowsers! So sorry, friend. I thought of you earlier today when Sam had his head yelling in the toilet .... listening for his echo. Weird.

Oh no! When I talked to you earlier I didn't realize that it was cooffe grinds not brewed coffee!
I bet the office smells like Starbucks now. LOL
When Miller was younger we called Poison Control about 3 times within a 6wk period. Now that would have looked good:DHR showing up at Police Officers house! Remember"This to shall pass". Some days faster than others:)

Oh yeah, and (some) girls do gross things too. I recently caught Averi playing in the toilet right after her sister took a poop:( I still gag every time I think about it!

Yes, I can see Miss E doing the same thing. I can't think of anything off the top of my head but I wouldn't put it past her.

Oh Ms. Brittany Spears...the mom who turns her car seat forward before age one is now breaking the rules again by taking a nap when her boys are up! Maybe if your toddlers didn't have a caffeine addiction they wouldn't be 'jonesin' for their fix. :-)

Rachel makes me wish we were closer so that we could help. You need intervention just to take a breathe(much less a nap). I love that you will have lots and lots of fun memories, and they will be in 20 years believe me.

LOVE THiS!! Ahhh...reminds me of the days of my kiddos messes.

sweet toddlerhood, eh?

Andrew and Grace poured dry pudding all over our living room. And, one of 'em thought it'd be cool to add water to the mix.

it was great times.

No, to answer your question, girls do not do that kind of thing. Well that is unless you are my niece! Coleman amazes me with what he manages to get into and I constantly find myself saying.."Maddy never did that" (not to him of course) I just chalked it up to boy and no big deal. But I have been babysitting my niece for 24hrs and I am convinced that she out does all boys! I have her for 24 more hrs...:)

That rocks, glad it was in YOUR house. So far we only have boring crayon marks on the walls, furniture, and pen marks in some cookbooks and the wife's Bible. A friend of mine has a boy who, as a child, had a thing for Vaseline. He would disappear in stores and be found on the floor with a jar, scooping and EATING like mad. He would also cover himself head to toe. Weird. Slippery, and weird. Oh, and I guess we'll find out before long when you have your baby girl (named Davina, if I may make a recommendation).
