Oh no you don't little girl!!

My little angel is attempting something that I vowed no other child of mine would do.. well not another one, that is. I haven't gotten an action shot of her doing it yet..but I bet you will be able to guess what it is she is attempting from the pictures below....

Just getting started.. same age as Eva trying it now....

No Way Jose! Or I should say, No Way EVA!

Noah didn't take a paci or thumb so I was unprepared when Anna came. Anna sucks her thumb and still does (she'll be 5 this month) and I swore Mary would NOT do it - the thumb that is! So I forced the paci on her - she would gag and make a scene but I stuck with it and now she's loves her paci! YAY! But occassionally I will see her with her thumb in her mouth...BUT it's nothing like Anna!! So, it's FUN!

Oh, I've got a little thumb-sucker. He really only does it when he's sleepy though so I'm ok with it. Hopefully he'll wean himself off it in the next couple months.....(*hopefully*).

He's funny though. He was a paci-lover for the first 6 months with some occasional thumb sucking, then he switched. Wouldn't take the paci and looooved his thumb.

Kids are weird.

Av tried to suck her thumb at 4 mos. and I wouldn't let her:) I would go in her room and pull her thumb out and replace it with a paci. It was so cute at that age, but I knew it would be harder to break later on. Good luck..lol!

What did we do before pacifiers?! I've never seen an adult sucking his thumb, so I think it will all be fine thumb sucker or pacifier.
I personally think the thumb is cuter, but haven't had to break anyone from it yet (I did have a paci sucker and it was pretty easy to break but I also have friends that broke their son of the thumb, so it is also doable).
So it is the the lesser of two evils: having your child suck on a piece of plastic (you know what all the health nuts say about plastic these days!) or on a nasty thumb that has been touching only who knows what!
