This video was taken about a month ago so as you can imagine, she is really booking it now!

Blast from the past..
This video was taken when Eva was about a week old. Alex was holding her for the first time. I love the "kissey, kissey" part. Too funny. It was the beginning of his "stalker" days..
Brothers..
This just makes my heart melt. They truly do love each other..
Funny things my almost 4 year old has said recently:
me: Jorge, mommy is going to go jump in the shower real quick."
Jorge: NO MOMMY! You can't jump in the shower. It's very dangerous."
me: You're gonna stay here with daddy while mommy runs to the store.
Jorge: Okay mommy. You go to da store. But you can't come back without Bolt (the movie).
I have a Kenpo dvd workout video as part of P90X. it involves karate type moves with kicks, punches and the such. Jorge came out of his room the other day during one of my workouts, sat on the couch and said very sternly:
"mommy, you exercise, but NO kicking and NO hitting." (apparently, he was not a fan of that workout).

Chunky, chunky
So Eva is our biggest baby, to date. As a family, we call her many sweet nothings:
(please understand this was all in good fun and we aren't putting our daughter on a diet).
Angel baby
Love muffin
chunky monkey
anything chunky related
Anyway.. it's a little family admiration for a very healthy baby girl.
Anyway.. cue tonight.. I had just finished nursing her on the couch. My dear husband comes over to talk to her. Here is the conversation:
Me: Eva, where is daddy? (she is looking for him). There he is. Aww.. there is your daddy. Eva one day he is going to walk you down the aisle.
Big Jorge: Well at this weight I'll have to roll her down the aisle.
Oh I laughed so hard.. even Eva got a chuckle out of it.

Good morning tree on my car..
So it was 5:30 a.m. My husband was on the couch reading his Bible before going to work and I was nursing a certain little girl (who had been up since 4 a.m. - in her bed, though) when all the sudden we hear a big cracking noise. Of course, it seems to last an eternity as I hold my breath waiting for the "crash."
Now what made this event "funny" was the fact that just yesterday we had an insurance adjuster out here (from homeowners) to file a claim on our house because the storm that came through on Sunday night did damage to our roof. Result: we need a new roof.
So now we have some car repairs too. Oh it could be a lot worse, damage wise. And for that we are very thankful.

The pictures don't do justice to the enormity of that tree limb. But the front window is shattered and the driver's side mirror was taken off.
that's how close it got to the car ( the bigger limb, that is). The smaller branches are what got the window and the mirror.
We are so thankful that the Lord is in control of all things.. even in the details of where a limb could or can fall.

I'm LOSING!!!
In case you doubt P90X..
I've measured again (starting 4th week)...
I've LOST 1 1/2 INCHES on my waist!
INCHES people, inches!
Thank you Lord for teaching me about my need for discipline and then the reward of results after doing what is really difficult!
Stay tuned.. more inches to melt away...

My new FAVORITE PLACE!!
So my hubby takes treks with the kids and tells me he is "going to the creek with the boys." Normally, I stay home and clean or cook dinner. Well, today we went to the park, you know with playground equipment, and the boys kept bugging me to go to the water.
Since I had not been before, they had so much fun showing me the way. And this is what they did.. WARNING: it's a young boys' paradise.
You can stand, run and play in the water that is not worrisome deep. Ankle high! And a little "island in the background" that they get to run to and grab smaller rocks to throw in the water.
Anyhoo.. it was a blast. Had we gotten there before 11:30 we could have stayed longer, but I thought an hour and half was enough... especially when Eva was getting very upset.
This, if the water doesn't evaporate due to heat, will be a great place to come hang out when the heat is getting to us and some cool water would feel nice on our feet.. (and the pool is just a wee bit much for me with three little ones, this year).
Anyway, if you are interested in it and you are in the area its at City of Pelham Park off of Hwy 31. But at the back entrance (Baseball field entrance).
Enjoy!

Jump into 30!!!
Well how bout' this.. I don't fit in either one! I'm 31! But I must tell you that I dreaded turning 30. Only because I still felt like I was 26 years old. We had our first kid at 27. So I feel young, even though I know 31 "seems old."
But truth be told, I love being in my thirties. I get natural respect as a "grown up" but don't look over the hill. I am getting in the best shape of my life (thank you P90X) and I have been married 6 years (oh yea, which we celebrated while we were at the beach) and have three adorable kiddos. Not to mention that with age comes more time of walking with the Lord. There are benefits galore for that one alone.
So you may be someone who is a few years, months or days away from jumping into the upper bracket, but I can honestly say it gets better every year!
